Text aTip posters placed in transit buses

In January, the Police Department in conjunction with WAVE Transit placed Text a Tip

posters inside of WAVE buses. The idea with the initiative is to get the word out about the

tip program. Tips are received daily through the program. Most are relating to crime in the

Wilmington area. However, numerous tips concerning crimes in other cities are also received

by Text a tip. Those tips are forwarded to thelaw enforcement agency of jurisdiction.
